"GIFT"

The word endowment means gift. What a wonderful time of year for Braedon to recieve the gift of the temple endowment. Today, December 22nd Braedon will become an endowed member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. What a blessing. And it makes it all the more special that it was 20 years ago today that our family was sealed for time and all eternity.

CALLED TO SERVE..

The letter arrived on Thursday December 10th the return address read The office of the first presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. How could he possibly wait until Sunday? Sunday couldn't come soon enough. 4:30 on the sabbath finally arrived, dear friends and family gathered for what would be one of the most exciting events in our lives what a blessing for my son to be serving a mission and what a blessing for us as a family to have a missionary. I was filled with emotion, I would soon learn where my son would be spending the next two years of his life and blessed by the knowledge that the time he is away from us he will be serving the Lord and his sole purpose will be to share the Gospel, the "good news" with the people he is called to serve. He read the letter with much emotion, he has been called to labour in the California Roseville mission preaching the gospel in the Hmong language.

He will be leaving for the MTC on February 3, 2010 I am incredibly proud and blessed.
