Hello family and friends, following is an e-mail that Elder Paramore sent to be shared with his loved ones at a Grandma Joan`s funeral.
I know that God has a plan for all of us. And yes, there is indeed a God. "All things denote there is a God; yea, even the earth, and all things that are upon the face of it, yeah and it's motion, yea, and also all the Planets which move in their regular form do witness that there is a Supreme Creator"
There are millions of stars and planets in perfect order. They did not get there by chance. Like the stars and planets we did not get here by chance. We, each one of us, have a divine purpose. We were given bodies and sent to this world to love our families, to enjoy our bodies and to share love and gain knowlegde and experience that brings us closer to our Father in Heaven.
All good things come from God. Everything he does is to help us, his children, become like him. He has said, " Behold, this is my work and my glory _ to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man."
Our Heavenly Father knew we could not progress beyond a certain point unless we left him for a time. To do this we needed to leave our pre-earth home to be tested and to gain experience. Our spirits needed to be clothed with physical bodies. We would need to leave our physical bodies at death and reunite with them in the resurrection.
Everyone here will die, everyone here will be resurrected. Our spirits and our bodies will reunite and never seperate again. I know this will happen. I promise it will. The more you learn, study and pray about this great plan the more familiar it will become to you. We all agreed to this plan before we received our bodies in our pre-earth life.
Hymn number 300 reads... I have a family here on earth. They are so good to me. I want to share my life with them through all eternity. Families CAN be together forever through heavenly Fathers plan. I always want to be with my own family, and the Lord has shown me how I can, the Lord has shown me how I can.
During such a pivotal time in my life i've decided to serve a mission. If I could deny the things I know to be true then I wouldn't be here but I can't. Now at a time like this i'd imagine that the only thing that would bring comfort, peace and hope to the human heart would be knowing for yourself that God is our Heavenly Father, that he loves you and that we can return to live with him and our families forever.
Concerning the passing of our great grandmother, grandmother, mother sister and friend we need not worry, for I know she is in Gods hands. We must smile at the grace and love of our God, and for this his great plan of happiness. I bear you my tesitmony that we will one day embrace our grandmother again that through this plan we can live with one another in the presence of God, our eternal creator. Is there a greater gift? Let us move forward with knowledge and understanding, being full of love and hope. Please go home tonight, get on your knees and pray with a sincere desire to know if these things are true. If you do then study it out in your mind and God will answer your prayers. Continually pray and seek gudience and he will lead you back to him. I say these things in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
